Queen of Babble; Meg Cabot
Can You Keep A Secret; Sophie Kinsella
Both books are similar.
the main female chara suffers from a bad relationship with their current bfs.
they go on a journey (QoB - train, CYKAS - plane--- rhymes somemore) and their seat partner is this wonderfully rich and handsome guy.
due to certain unforseen circumstances of pure panic or distress they babbled their secrets and woes and whatnot out to their poor seat partners,
their seat partners are intrigued by their stories,
their seat partners are kind enough to comfort them,
main chara thinks it's okay cause they're strangers and they most prob won't see each other
again,
turns out the seat partners are actually their bosses or the owner of the place they're living in in that foreign country,
more familiar encounters with said handsome seat partners,
they go on "dinners"
something bad happens and they fell out,
and then they fall in love,
happy ending,
voila.
if love comes so easily just by one blurting out all her secrets on public transport to a complete and coincidentally handsome stranger,
i don't mind sia.
but sadly,
1. singapore is small. how long does our average train or bus ride take i ask you.
2. kind, bishie, understanding and sympathetic guys are impossible to find. do the same here and the guy will most probably think you're siao and walk away immed.
3. my life isnt that interesting. nothing much that would interest him anyway.
4. what possible non-stranger could he be? my potential colleague at my workplace? my new neighbour?
if only love comes so easily.
i want to fall in love too.
